(2) Ohio State Buckeyes (5-0) at (8) Wisconsin Badgers
Ohio State: For the second straight year, they’re 5-0 and they’ll need to keep winning just so they can keep pace with Michigan in the Big Ten East. J.T. Barrett continues to impress me and even when he didn’t have the best of games last week against Indiana, he was still able to be a factor within the game. He wasn’t doing too well with his arm, so he decided to take the game over with his legs. With Ohio State now, their front seven is growing up and maturing by the week. Many said their inexperience would hurt them. Now, they are about to enter the big stretch of their schedule and it starts tonight with a showdown in Madison against those Wisconsin Badgers.
Wisconsin: Despite them losing in Ann Arbor a few weeks ago, I was still impressed with how they played because they did what no team who’s faced Michigan has done and that’s hold that Wolverines offense to under 20 points and that game was a defensive struggle, my type of football. Wisconsin has had a very good group of running backs over the years, but this year, it’s different. They’re actually struggling to run the ball and that’s so unlike Wisconsin but there have been many injuries to the offensive line and Corey Clement. The strength of this team has been their defense and it starts with T.J. Watt who’s really making the last name look good considering who his brother is. This could be the biggest game of the year tonight for Wisconsin with Urban and Ohio State in town.
Ohio State Player(s) To Watch: The defensive front– Despite their struggles, Wisconsin will try their best to get a ground game going early on. Ohio State did a really good job of neutralizing Samaje Perine and Joe Mixon a few weeks ago in Norman. It will be key for this defense to make Hornibrook beat them with his arm.
Wisconsin Player To Watch: Jack Cichy- With Chris Orr and Vince Biegel both out for the year, this kid has stepped it up in a big way for the Badgers defense. He leads the team with 35 tackles and will have to bring it tonight and help contain J.T. Barrett.
Prediction: How could we forget the Big Ten title game that saw Ohio State destroy that Wisconsin team by 59 points? Alex Hornibrook will be tested tonight but I don’t think he has enough experience. I’m taking Ohio State in this one. Ohio State 31 Wisconsin 17
