Intriguing Game- Week 17
Seahawks (9-6) at Cardinals (13-2)
Seahawks: At one point, some people didn’t think they’d even make it back to the playoffs and they’d continue that trend of losers in the previous Super Bowl not making it. When Marshawn Lynch went down, Thomas Rawls stepped in and the Seahawks offense didn’t miss a single beat and Russell was showing us all that he’s more than capable of throwing the ball downfield from the pocket. Now that Rawls is out, this team needs Marshawn more than ever at this point and you always want your playmakers on the field come playoff time. For the fourth straight season, they will be back in the postseason. They’ll look to snap the Arizona Cardinals nine game winning streak on Sunday as they close the season out against their divisional rival.
Cardinals: We can talk about records all we want too. Yeah, Carolina may have a better record than them, but I feel these Cardinals are the best team in the NFC and Sunday afternoon against Green Bay backed my point up even more. They were balanced on offense and even without their spark Tyrann Mathieu, their defense still handled its business sacking Aaron Rodgers a total of nine times and holding the Packers offense to eight points altogether. I see them making a nice run come January and they’ll be difficult to bring down. They can win at home and go on the road which is tough and win a game when they have too. Arians has them playing with a lot of confidence right now and Palmer has come back and put together a great season.
Prediction: When they last met, the Cardinals beat Seattle at home and silenced the 12th man. This will be a much different Seahawks offense that Arizona will be seeing. There’s no Jimmy Graham or Lynch. With a win and a Panthers loss on Sunday, the road to San Francisco will travel through Arizona and they will be given the one seed in the NFC. I like Seattle to take this one. Seahawks 26 Cardinals 23
