It’s been a very up but more so down season for the New York Giants in 2015. They’ve blown many fourth quarter leads and you look back at all those games, those could very much so be wins and they’d be atop the NFC East with ease but it hasn’t gone that way. The Giants have displayed inconsistency, they’ve been outcoached and they are absolutely terrible when it comes to clock management. After a tough loss on Sunday to the undefeated Carolina Panthers that saw the Giants come back from a 28 point deficit and now the Giants sit at 6-8 in the division with two games left and the playoffs still in sight but it won’t be easy to get in. Heading into their game against the Vikings next Sunday night, the Giants will have to get a win without their best player, Odell Beckham Jr who has been suspended for a game because of his antics on Sunday.
When I saw this matchup on the schedule for week 15, it featured an elite battle of two of the best at their respected positions. Odell Beckham and Josh Norman, who has flat-out been the best cornerback in the NFL this season. It was almost like viewing a heavyweight match up in boxing. When Eli found Odell down the field for the first time, he dropped a pass that would’ve likely resulted in six points. After that play, Odell and Josh got into a shoving match and this would happen throughout the game. In football, the opposition will get under your skin but you have to try to keep your cool and remain calm at all times and Beckham’s temper was far from calm. He should’ve tossed from the game on multiple occasions and if the refs didn’t do it, Coughlin should’ve pulled him.
There are always three sides to each story. His side, her side and the truth and it’s reported that Josh Norman came out onto the field with a baseball bat and threatened to end Odell’s day. This story has way too many twists and turns for me.
