As always, it’s been a very crazy yet entertaining season in college football. There have been debates and analysis about who should make the College Football Playoff and who shouldn’t be in. After 13 weeks and a Saturday of conference title games, we are officially set and the games will take place on New Year’s Eve to determine who will play in Arizona for the National Championship on January 11th. Here’s a slight preview of both games. More to come soon
(1) Clemson vs (4) Oklahoma– If you like offense, this is the game for you. This matchup will feature two of the most prolific quarterbacks in the country. Clemson’s DeShaun Watson and Oklahoma’s Baker Mayfield. Both quarterbacks are more than capable of making some big throws and getting their teams in the best position to win. Oklahoma had the best defense in the Big-12 so I don’t think they’ll back down from this offensive attack of Clemson. The Tigers have struggled in their final few games but still managed to hold on and win. We could be in for a shootout in this game. Two very good coaches and two very solid offensive schemes.
(2) Alabama at (3) Michigan State– Now this is my type of football game. Both these teams are more similar than people think. They both like to run the football, control the line of scrimmage and play physical and punishing defense. Michigan State has been on a roll since defeating Ohio State and they feel they are able to compete with anybody in the country. I love their front seven. They are very quick, athletic and they have a terrific sense for the football. Alabama had to grind many games out to get to this point and they’ll play with a chip on their shoulder after losing in the playoffs last year.
