AFC Game Of The Week
Bills (5-4) at Patriots (9-0)
Bills: When Tyrod Taylor was out, the Bills struggled to score and keep drives going. With Taylor under center, the Bills have won their last two games, divisional games at that to Miami and a win last Thursday night in East Rutherford against the Jets and we all know that was a game that Rex Ryan had circled on his calendar. At 5-4, the Bills are still in the hunt for the Wild Card in the AFC playoff picture and now that everyone is healthy, they can make that push we’ve all expected them too. Just like last week, this is another game that Rex has circled again. It’s Patriot week and it’s a Monday night showdown to make it even better.
Patriots: The Giants gave New England all they could but somehow, they pulled away to stay perfect at 9-0. Despite winning, they lost a very key guy to their offense and that’s Julian Edelman. He’s Brady’s go to receiver and I feel he’s just as important as Rob Gronkowski is to the Patriots offense. This happens a week after losing Dion Lewis for the year with a torn ACL. It’s a big loss, but Brady will work with what he has around him and expect a lot from his receivers outside of Gronk. With the win on Monday night, the Patriots will be 10-0 for the first time since 2007 and the division will pretty much be theirs once again.
Prediction: It’s always interesting when these two meet up. Week two showed us that. The Patriots got off to a very hot start then in the second half, it was all Buffalo and they’ve been the only team this year to score over 30 on the Patriots in 2015. The match up catching my eye is Malcolm Butler and Sammy Watkins. The Bills need to get Shady going early on and control the line of scrimmage. The Patriots need to limit Watkins. I like the Patriots in this one. Patriots 31 Bills 23
