Intriguing Game-Week Six
Panthers (4-0) at Seahawks (2-3)
Panthers: Out of every undefeated team remaining, this is the one that I haven’t been sold on at all. The defense has been very solid across the board even without Luke Kuechly who’s been sidelined with a concussion. Josh Norman is becoming a household name this year. He’s been a shut down corner and with Kuechly out, he’s been their best defensive player. What’s been the issue has been their offense. Without Kelvin Benjamin, they have no type of big play threat down the field so Cam isn’t able to take those shots as he would like. They’ve had a very soft schedule so far in 2015. Jacksonville in week one, the Houston Texans in week two, the Saints without Drew Brees in the line up in week three and before their bye week, they faced Tampa Bay. Now, they will have a true test as they travel back to where their season ended in January.
Seahawks: The questions have been coming in about them left and right: What’s wrong with the Seattle Seahawks? I’ll gladly tell you. First, this offense is lost without Marshawn Lynch and he’s been out because of a hamstring injury. I like Thomas Rawls don’t get me wrong but he’s no beastmode. Secondly, the offensive line is struggling to protect Russell Wilson and them trading Max Unger away really didn’t help their cause and the last thing I’ve taken away has been that nobody is really afraid of their defense. Andy Dalton and the Bengals attacked that secondary throughout the game on Sunday. Despite these issues, I feel they can turn things around and put together a winning streak. The Cardinals are the best team in that division right now and it’s early but they are two games back in the division. They can start to get it together when the Panthers come to town on Sunday.
Prediction: In their two wins, I haven’t been impressed with the Seahawks at all. The offense has been flat and the defense has struggled to get off the field. Carolina is just getting by to win games. It hasn’t been pretty but as long as the zero stays in the loss column that’s all that’s important. I like the Seahawks in this one. Seahawks 27 Panthers 14
