(9) UCLA at (16) Arizona
UCLA: To many when Brent Hundley left for the NFL, not many thought the Bruins would be all that great but they’re ranked ninth in the country and Jim Mora is an outstanding coach. Their offense has struggled big time especially in the passing game. Josh Rosen got off to a hot start in Virginia when the season kicked off and now he has four interceptions, the most thrown in Pac-12 play. UCLA will be getting one of their top defensive players back tonight and that’s Ishmael Adams, a cornerback who’s making his debut after serving a three game suspension. The defense will also be without linebacker Myles Jack for the rest of the season after suffering a knee injury. This won’t be an easy task tonight heading into Arizona.
Arizona: I think people tend to forget that they were in the Pac-12 title game last December. Rich Rodriguez has really turned this football team around and he’s revitalized his career as well. They will be receiving a huge boost tonight as one of my personal favorite defensive players in the country returns and he goes by the name of Scooby Wright. He’ll be a top five draft pick whenever he declares and since he’s been out with an injury, Arizona’s defense has struggled at times. Giving up 500 plus yards isn’t something to necessarily forget about. I really like this offense. They can beat you in so many ways and they’re ranked fifth in the country in total offense. It’ll be a battle tonight with UCLA.
Prediction: Until the Bruins can get their passing game right, they will heavily depend on running the football and Arizona needs to prevent their ground game. For UCLA, getting of the field on third downs is a must. I like Arizona at home in this one. Arizona 38 UCLA 28
