AFC Game Of The Week
Bengals (10-4-1) at Steelers (10-5)
Bengals: This is the most athletic team in the league. They have very solid pass rushers on defense, a young core of linebackers and a secondary that can swarm to the football. On offense, they can run the football and get the ball down the field. I like how the Bengals have stuck with Jeremy Hill as their running back but they still find ways to use Bernard when they have too. This offense will open up more if they use Mohamed Sanu because when Aj went down with an injury, he stepped up and shown he can be that asset alongside one of the best receivers in football. The Bengals are aiming to repeat as division champions and host a playoff game next weekend. it won’t be easy as they have to travel to Pittsburgh to get the job done against a Steelers team that’s getting hot at the right time. Let’s see if Andy Dalton can show up in the spotlight once more
Steelers: They’ve been up and down at times this year. They’ve lost some games that should have been victories. What’s impressed me about the Steelers has been their offense because they’ve gone back to the basics. Running the football. Le’Veon Bell is the best running back in football. He can run it outside the tackles and inside and he can catch the ball out the backfield and have over 200 total yards altogether. Antonio Brown has become one of my favorite players to watch. He’s so consistent and he’s a playmaker and is Ben’s go to guy. Their defense has improved especially their front seven because at the beginning of the year, they lacked a lot of discipline and missed gap assignments. I’m still concerned about their secondary. For the first time in three years, the black and gold will be in the playoffs and they will look to finish the season by winning the division.
Prediction: When these two first met, the Bengals started strongly but struggled to close out. It’ll be key for the Bengals to shut down Antonio Brown and account for Bell as both a rusher and receiver. For the Steelers, limiting Aj Green will be key. Especially in the redzone. I like the Steelers in this one. Steelers 28 Bengals 17
