NFC Game Of The Week
Seahawks (10-4) at Cardinals (11-3)
Seahawks: Here’s the scenario for the Seahawks . If they win out and the Arizona Cardinals lose their remaining games, not only would Seattle win their division but there is a very strong possibility that they could have home-field in the playoffs and they wouldn’t have it any other way. Seattle is a good team on the road at best but home is where they’re really dominant and they would rather have teams come up and battle the twelfth man. When Bobby Wagner came back, the defense just got it together. They have playmakers from Bennett to Avril, Sherman, Chancellor and Earl Thomas but you always need that one guy to keep your defense together and Bobby Wagner has been that guy. With all that being said, this is one team I don’t want to face in January because they have the experience, great coaching and a quarterback who’s shown he’s capable of winning big game when it matters. Sunday night will more than likely determine the division in Arizona and they hope to be playing back there again in February for the Lombardi yet again.
Cardinals: It seems as if whenever we write them off, they find a way to win football games. This is the best I’ve seen the Cardinals look since the Kurt Warner and Anquan Boldin days. It’s not just one guy on this offense that can make a big play. Bruce Arians has this team sitting comfortably at 11-3 and he’s lost two quarterbacks to injury. Palmer tore his ACL and Drew Stanton sprained is ACL. Now, they are down to their last two quarterbacks on the roster and they will use them both in this game. When I heard that, that told me they don’t have confidence in one quarterback so they have to use two just to get by. Arizona’s defense has really stepped up due to some bad performances on the offensive side of the football. This is a huge game on Sunday night for the Cardinals because it could determine their seeding in the NFC playoff picture.
Prediction: The last time these two played each other, Seattle dominated the Cardinals. They kept them out the end zone and took control of the football game. The Seahawks have to keep playing the brand of football that has them where they are now. Running Lynch and playing physical defense. The Cardinals have to find a way to score. Getting in the redzone but not coming away with points isn’t always a good thing. I like the Seahawks in this one. Seahawks 17 Cardinals 13
