NFC Game Of The Week
Cardinals (6-1) at Cowboys (6-2)
Cardinals– This could be one of the better teams that nobody is discussing. They have a few impressive wins so far. Last week against the Eagles was a tough but solid win, they beat the Chargers at the beginning of the season, the Giants on the road and you know how difficult it is to travel across the country like that for a team from the West Coast and they beat a powerhouse in the NFC West in the 49ers. This is a good football team. They run the ball, Carson is making some good decisions and he doesn’t look as shaky back there in the pocket, they play solid defense even without some key guys and I want to step outside the box and look at their coach in Arians. He had them a game away from the playoffs last season and he has them in position to make it this year in a competitive NFC. This will be a tough test for them Sunday facing a Cowboys team looking to bounce back.
Cowboys– That was a tough game to lose on Monday night. DeMarco reached 100 yards yet again but they looked flat in certain parts of the game. Their secondary which has been the biggest question mark gave up a few big plays down the field to DeSean Jackson. The pressure on Colt McCoy could’ve been better too. I’m concerned about Tony because he was injured in that game and elected to come back. I personally would’ve kept him out the game for precautionary reasons and for the Cowboys to make a run at the playoffs, they need Tony Romo because I’ve stated that this team will go as far as he takes them. The schedule will get tough now for Dallas and it starts with Arizona on Sunday.
Prediction: The winner of this game will put themselves in a very comfortable position in the NFC. Arizona has to shut Murray down plain and simple and they will have to lock down Dez Bryant. The key matchup is Dez and Patrick Peterson. The Cowboys offensive line looked awful on Monday and they need to protect Romo. I like the Cardinals in this one. Cardinals 27 Cowboys 20
