AFC Game Of The Week
Bills (2-1) at Texans (2-1)
Bills– Everything that could go wrong for a team went wrong for the Bills last week. They turned the ball over too much and when they had the opportunities to punch it in the end zone, they didn’t do it. You can’t win them all, I know that much and I felt that was a game they would’ve won. After the first quarter mark of the season, we are about to see who the Bills really are. Let’s not forget that they have to play New England twice and they’ve struggled against the Patriots and they face a Jets team twice who always seems to have their number. This Sunday, they have a match-up with an improved Texans team. That means Mario Williams will return back to where it all began in Houston.
Texans– One thing I’ve noticed about Houston this season is they are actually trying. Last year this team lost 14 games in a row and when that happens, you can see the frustrations with the entire team. When a new head coach takes in a struggling team, he tries to give them a new identity and that’s what Bill O’Brien has done. They aren’t asking Fitzpatrick to take the game over. They just want him to control the game, hand the ball off to Arian and the defense will do its part. JJ has shown why he received that contract extension. He does just about everything for this team. The Texans will be looking to surpass their win total from 2013 on Sunday.
Prediction: The Texans looked horrible last week against the Giants. Turning the ball over will hurt you and not having Arian on the field also hurt them. The Bills have to run the ball better to win on Sunday and If I’m Houston, keep E.J. in the pocket. I like Houston in this one. Texans 24 Bills 13
