(23) Clemson at (1) Florida State
Clemson: They’ve lost two very key pieces of their offense to the NFL in Sammy Watkins and Tajh Boyd but they can still light up the scoreboard with what they have now on offense. Clemson started the season ranked 16th but after the loss to Georgia to open up the season, they are now ranked 23rd. They have a future NFL star on defense in Vic Beasley and it also helps you out a great deal when you have seven starters from last year on defense. This is a big game for the Tigers tonight. They will enter Doak Campbell Stadium with a huge chip on their shoulders. It’s a rivalry game and they are out for revenge after last season’s meeting.
Florida State: They are ranked number one still but they haven’t looked as dominant as we thought they would. Despite some downs on the field, Florida State has been the talk of some negative news surrounding Jameis Winston. He was suspended for the entire first half because of an inappropriate comment made on campus. I was very vocal and against this move because whenever we discuss Jameis off the field, it’s something negative always surrounding him spend whether it was the rape allegations that he defeated or stealing crab legs. Last night, the report came out that Florida State decided to suspend him for the entire game and I agree because that had to be done. Jameis is out and Sean Maguire is in.
Prediction: I honestly think that Sean Maguire will be just fine and I say that because he took a lot of snaps with the first team offense because Jameis was playing baseball. Florida State will get the running game going until Sean is on the same page with these receivers. Clemson will enter this game wanting revenge after what happen last season when these two met. I like the Seminoles to continue its dominance over Clemson at home. Florida State 35 Clemson 24
