Intriguing Game- Week 15
Packers (6-6-1) at Cowboys (7-6)
Packers: I still think that the Packers will win the NFC North. Look at this scenario. If the Packers win out from this point, they will finish with a record of 9-6-1. With that being said, the Packers will have one less loss than any team that finishes 9-7 because they’ll have one less loss. If this team can get Aaron back, they will be fine. Among quarterbacks from an importance factor, Peyton is 1a and Aaron is 1b. Look at how much this team misses him and the offense has gone down from a productivity standpoint. Defensively, they are improved but they need to get better on that side of the football. The last time the Packers were at Cowboys Stadium, they won a Super Bowl. This will be their first time playing there since then.
Cowboys: Let’s break these guys down. I love what they do on offense. They can pound DeMarco in between the tackles and that allows Tony to use his play-action to draw defenses in and get the ball downfield. Tony and Dez are a top five qb/wr tandem in the game today. Tony knows he can find 88 down the field and he’s usually defended with a lot of one on one coverages that can be exposed. The problem with this team is their defense. They do everything wrong. They don’t tackle, get no type of pass rush going and the secondary is awful. They don’t cover anybody. This is a huge game for them. They need to stop doing the little things wrong at the important times of the game.
Prediction: For the Packers to win, get Eddie Lacy the football early and establish that ground game early. Once he gets in the open field, he’s difficult to bring down. The Cowboys need to do the same with DeMarco Murray to help out Tony Romo in the passing game. I like the Packers in this one. Packers 35 Cowboys 31.
