NFC Game Of The Week
Saints (9-2) at Seahawks (10-1)
Saints: What a season it’s been in New Orleans. After a year filled with controversy in 2012 due to bountygate, everything just seems to be back to normal with the Saints. Next to Peyton and his offense, the Saints have the second best offense in the league and I like the way they utilize all their receivers because everyone has a role within that offense. You can take away Colston as a defense but you have guys like Lance Moore and Kenny Stills to worry about. If you’re open, Drew will get you the football. The Saints defense can hang around in games too and they don’t even have to be that great they just have to be average because their offense can keep you in every game. This will be the toughest test on Monday night in Seattle for the Saints.
Seahawks: I’ve said it all year and I will say it again: The Seattle Seahawks are the best team in football and I’ll back my reasons up with you right now. 1. They have great speed on offense and now that they have Percy Harvin that makes a big difference because he stretches the field and gives them that big play down the field. Russell has played excellent football this year. 2. They have speed on defense. They have a front seven that can rush the passer and stop the run and we all know about that secondary otherwise known as the legion of boom. This is a team I wouldn’t want to face come January especially if it’s in Seattle with that home-field advantage. This maybe the best offense they will face all year that’s coming to town.
Prediction: We could be watching a preview of the NFC Title Game or even a playoff preview but more than likely these will be the one and two seeds in the NFC. If the Saints can take away Percy Harvin on Monday, they win this game. The key for Seattle will be to collapse Drew Brees’ pocket and don’t give him time to throw. I like Seattle in this one.
