The Indianapolis Colts will more than likely win their division and nobody expected it. After they acquired Trent Richardson, many thought that this would give them a boost on offense with Vick Ballard being lost for the season. He’s disappointed us. The biggest issue with the Colts has been their ability to start early and close games out. They almost get too comfortable getting behind because they feel they can come from behind to win football games and that isn’t always the case especially a few weeks ago when they played the Rams. They were down by as much as 38 points and would lose that game 38-8. So, what’s the issue with the Colts? Let’s not also forget that they’ve defeated three of the best teams in football as well in the 49ers, Seahawks and Denver Broncos.
I think the biggest issues that’s affected this team has been the absence of Reggie Wayne. He brings that championship pedigree to a young team and his presence off the field has affected Andrew Luck a great deal. Others have had to step it up with him being gone. Reggie was that guy in the line-up that could make that catch over the middle of the field on 3rd and 5 to give the Colts a first down. He was definitely Andrew Luck’s go to guy. I have many concerns about this football team moving forward because if the playoff started today, I think this Colts group would be one and done. Certain teams you can come back on but some of them will keep you down when they know you’re trying to come back. I’d like to see if this team can start early. Get into a rhythm and set the tone at the beginning of the game.
