Intriguing Game-Week 12
Colts (7-3) at Cardinals (6-4)
Colts: I like the Indianapolis Colts. They’re a very well coached team under Chuck Pagano and they have a top ten quarterback in Andrew Luck and in these last two seasons, he’s shown why he was the overall number one pick in the 2012 NFL Draft. He’s clutch and can take his team down the field in a two-minute drill. As much as I like the Colts and have been impressed with them, I’d like to see them start off early and finish the game. They get a little too comfortable falling behind and having to come back on teams. That won’t always work depending on who the opponent is. In a competitive AFC, the Colts will more than likely have a home playoff game and will win the AFC South for the first time since 2010. It’ll be a reunion as they face Bruce Arians for the firs time.
Cardinals: We haven’t heard much about this team because of who is in their division. The Seahawks and 49ers. I don’t think many people expected them to do too much this year because Carson is a question mark at quarterback and Is Fitz still an elite wide receiver? Believe it or not, the Cardinals are 6-4 and are in the hunt for a playoff spot in the NFC. Remember the Cardinals last year? They started 4-0 then lost nine in a row. They are much improved this year but they don’t scare me at all. Even on their defense, all they have is Patrick Peterson who has become one of the best cornerbacks and all-around players in the NFL. For the Cardinals to keep their playoff hopes alive, they’ll need a big win against the Colts.
Prediction: This will definitely be an emotional one. Bruce Arians took over for Pagano last year and led the Colts to a 9-3 mark which would put them in the playoffs. This game will come down to who has the ball last. The Cardinals play pretty well at home and the Colts will continue to have questions surrounding them. I like the Colts in this one.
