Intriguing Game- Week 10
Lions (5-3) at Bears (5-3)
Lions: They’ve played a lot better than people expected them too through eight games this year. The Lions have played good football. Calvin Johnson has been on a tear this season. The last time we saw him play, he put up 329 yards receiving against the Cowboys. Reggie Bush has also been a key factor to their success as well. He’s finally on a team that’s using him the right way. If you notice, teams don’t load the box when defending the Lions offense and that’s because Calvin Johnson draws so much attention no matter where he is on the field so Reggie is able to work the flat just like he did in his USC days. The last time the Lions played the Bears, Bush had a big day.
Bears: If they didn’t win that game on Monday night in Green Bay, the Bears would have been in a big hole at 4-4. What a difference being just two games over .500 makes than being at .500. The talk of the Bears this season has been their offense and their defense has struggled which is unheard of when talking about the Bears. Their lack of a pass rush really concerns me but they can still get a takeaway when necessary. Cutler is expected to come so I’m curious to see how this offense will be with him back in the line-up. First place is on the line in the NFC North in Chicago on Sunday.
Prediction: I’m very pumped up for this one. The Lions have played good football and will have momentum on their sides if they can win this one. If I’m the Lions, I’m testing Jay Cutler early and often. Is he 100 percent coming off that groin injury? The Bears need to take away Megatron, load the box on Reggie Bush and force someone else like a Fauria or Pettigrew to beat them. I like the Lions to get a big road win on Sunday. Lions 28 Bears 23
