NFC Game Of The Week
Cowboys (4-3) at Lions (4-3)
Cowboys: I’ve been quite impressed with how the Cowboys have looked so far this season. Tony has had a good year so far and we tend to focus more on what he doesn’t do rather than what he is capable of doing. He’s a mobile quarterback that can extend the play and move in and out of that pocket. He’s made comparisons to Ben Roethlisberger because of the mobility. The Cowboys have had balance on offense which was needed. You just can’t keep putting games in the hands of Romo. The defense has played well and they got the job done last week even without DeMarcus in the line up. They’ve been the best team in the NFC East and they’re in first place and to stay in first place they’ll have to get another tough road win in Detroit.
Lions: This is one of the better offensive units the Lions have put out on the field in a very long time. They aren’t just getting the ball to Calvin. Stafford can finally mix it up and spread the ball around. Pettigrew is a threat down the field and Joseph Fauria has been solid in his rookie campaign. The biggest boost for them on offense has been Reggie Bush. He’s finally being used the right way and can really work in the open field. The Lions are in a competitive division where we could possibly see two or three teams playing in January. They lost a nail biter last week to the Bengals and they’ll look to get back on track with the Cowboys coming to town.
Prediction: Points will be scored in this one. Both quarterbacks have top five wide receivers and they’ll get the ball to them anyway they can. I like the Cowboys to keep rolling in this one. Cowboys 31 Lions 28
