Intriguing Game- Week 3
Patriots (1-1) at Ravens (1-1)
Patriots: Not only did they lose to the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday, they lost a very important piece to that offense as well. Tight End Aaron Hernandez will miss several weeks due to an ankle injury. They will miss him and his versatility. The Patriots are coming off being upset at home, something none of us expected. The Patriots were flat out smacked in the mouth and Arizona did everything you need to do to shut this offense down. They played man coverage, stacked that box with an extra defender and took away the middle and that’s where Tom Brady likes to throw the most. If you think Arizona’s defense played them tough, you know Baltimore’s unit will come out playing with fire. Can New England get back to their winning ways?
Ravens: Nobody has defended the Baltimore Ravens more than I have. As one of my associates stated, they can look good one week and flat out terrible the next week. Sunday was a game I felt they should’ve won but they didn’t so it’s on to the next one. The Ravens D somewhat gave up to me in the fourth quarter in Philadelphia on Sunday. They’ll really need to be on it this Sunday night in a game I’m sure most Ravens players and fans have had circled on their calendars. For the first time since the AFC title game, the Ravens get a chance at the team who eliminated them from getting to the Super Bowl. Revenge is on the mind. Can Baltimore bounce back in a strong way?
Prediction: The Patriots are great at bouncing back after a loss. 27-7 to be exact. Tom Brady and Coach Belichick are already at the drawing board figuring out how to attack the Ravens defense. Baltimore must get Ray Rice going early and often. Back in the AFC title game, this Patriots defense held him to 78 yards rushing. This will be a close one, I like the Ravens to get the win.
